The Gators continued their steady pace towards another all-around great recruiting class with the addition of four-star New Jersey defensive tackle Fred Hansard on Friday.

Hansard was a terror in the Mid-Atlantic Prep league for Hun during the 2015 season using him on both sides of the line. The Raiders went 8-0 with their now- 6-3, 324 pound, gap filler finding little resistance throughout the season against opposing offenses. Hansard is widely considered one of the top players within the Garden State pushing his offer total to 30-plus schools.

Teams hoping to pull Hansard their way included Miami, Boston College, Ohio State, Cal, Georgia, Ole Miss, UCLA, Iowa, Kentucky, Texas A&M, and Virginia Tech, to name a few. Hansard released a list of his top nine schools with Rutgers, Penn State, Oklahoma, Pitt, Michigan State, USC, Tennessee, Alabama and Florida making the cut.

Hansard posted his announcement on Twitter, along with a Bleacher Report video, sharing, “COMMITTED to my Dream School!!! #Swamp17 #BDN.” The post came with a commitment statement:
