During the Rivals camp series in New Orleans, Class of 2018 defensive tackle Davin Cotton picked up the challenge against the best of the best throughout the region walking away a legit four-star recruit. Now the junior is pushing the limits of his talents again on the field for Evangel Christian trying to help guide the Eagles back to the Louisiana playoffs.

During the 2015 season, Cotton started drawing attention to himself from next level scouts. The 6-3, 275 pound, play-maker ended his sophomore season with 51 tackles, 14 tackles for a loss, three sacks, three forced fumbles, and an interception returned for a touchdown. To date Cotton has three reported offers coming in from Texas-San Antonio, Tulane, and Tennessee.

In a Recruiting News Guru interview, I caught up with Cotton to get his thoughts on his overall play on the field and an update on how his junior campaign is going thus far.
