The off-season has been a whirlwind of events for Jermani Brown. The talented cornerback/wide receiver transferred from Calabasas High School in the Los Angeles area in January to Midlothian High School in Virginia. The talent also went from being an Arizona State commit to a free agent.

Recruiting efforts for Brown have seemingly come to halt again with the announcement on Sunday that the Trojans’ newest player will take his talents to Boise State in 2017.

Colleges started taking a notice in Brown during the 2014 season when he pulled in 28 passes for 343 yards with four scores and carried the ball three times for 19 yards. He showed out on defense adding 38 tackles, 29 solo, along with two tackles for a loss, six pass breakups, and two interceptions. His playmaking abilities were further showcased on special teams taking five punts back for 66 yards and 15 kick returns back 439 yards with a long of 95 yards.

Brown fell in love early with ASU receiving an offer during March of 2015. The courtship continued until the 5-11, 175 pound, speedster committed to the Sun Devils on Nov. 11. Offers and interest kept coming in leading to an April 23 decommitment.

The Broncos fought off offers from Michigan State, Washington State, Colorado State, Idaho, Syracuse, Fresno State, Virginia, and Utah landing Brown. Boise State now has nine verbal commitments highlighted by Brown’s four-star talents.

Boise State continues to recruit players from across the country. Of the nine commits, six are from different states covering California, Kansas, Texas, Arizona, Kansas, and Virginia.
