Drive and determination to get to the ball jumps off the screen when watching highlight reels. Coaches, fans, and other players can instantly tell when a player has a little more heart and determination than the guy, or in Evan Weaver’s case, the guys lining up across from him.

Fighting through double- and sometimes triple-teams to make the play, if the ball is coming Weaver’s way or going to the other side of the field anything is fair game for the Gonzaga Prep defensive end once the ball is snapped and the opposing running back or quarterback is scrambling for yards, or in some case scrambling for their life hoping to avoid a big hit that is coming from Weaver.

The 6’3”, 240 pound, Class of 2016 athlete even lines up at tailback for G-Prep doing whatever it takes to help his team win. The Bullpups are 4-0 on the season with Weaver helping lead the way on both sides of the ball.

College coaches have responded to Weaver’s play with double-digit offers being extended from programs like Arizona, Washington State, Colorado State, UNLV, Washington, Boise State, and Utah, among others, but the Spokane area native stopped his recruiting process on Aug. 14 committing to the Cal Bears.

Weaver has released his four-game highlight reel, one that watches more like a full-season reel due to all the plays popping up on the screen, one after another. (Click link to watch Evan Weaver’s highlight reel on Hudl)
