Defensive Linemen Tyree Johnson and Jayden Peevy Commit to Aggies

Texas A&M added two recruits on Friday at key positions when defensive end Tyree Johnson and defensive tackle Jayden Peevy committed to the Aggies.
Johnson was a big pull for the Aggies taking him away from one-time leader Maryland out of the Washington D.C. area. The 6-3.5, 247 pound, playmaker spurned over 25 offers with teams like Auburn, Louisville, South Carolina, Pitt, Iowa, Ole Miss, Miami, Duke, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech extending offers.
Peevy was another nice land for A&M keeping him away from other SEC schools like Tennessee and Ole Miss. The Bellaire High School star was a one-time commit to Baylor but decommitted after the fallout with previous head coach Art Briles.
A&M now has seven commits ranked as four-star recruits by Rivals. The class is a heavy lean on athleticism with just three offensive linemen and two defensive linemen. The class has ebbed and flowed but has been built back up to 18 commits with Johnson and Peevy.
Rivals ranks the Aggies class as the 11th best in the nation. Both Johnson and Peevy are considered three-star recruits by Rivals.
