Tevyn Stevenson has been playing football since he was 6 or 7 years old. Just like thousands of kids around the country he always dreamt of playing high school football and earning a scholarship to play college football. Before the start of his sophomore season, after moving from Florida, Stevenson earned a starting role at wide receiver with the Eagles of Allen High School, located 30 miles north of Dallas. Later that season, Allen would go on to win the 6A state championship.

In his junior season, Stevenson and the Eagles finished the year 14-1 and advance all the way to the state semifinals where they suffered a heartbreaking 23-17 loss to Westlake.

During his senior season, the 5’11”, 185 pound, receiver has three total touchdowns and Allen has started the season 5-0. Stevenson looks to finish the year with 10 total touchdowns and 1,000 total yards and help lead his team to a state championship.

The Class of 2017 recruit already has five offers and is receiving interest from several other programs including Kansas and Indiana.

After being asked who has had the biggest influence on his career Tevyn gave all the credit to his mother, “She’s always been so positive and supportive of me through whatever I’ve gone through. I just want to make it for her and our family. I want to pay her back for everything she’s done for me and I won’t stop until I can.”

The senior playmaker not only works hard on the field but also in the classroom where he has a 3.2 GPA and has plans of study either sports medicine or computer technology in college.

Interview

In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I sat down with Tevyn to talk about his recruiting process, his football career, and to find out what it is like to play in front of 20,000+ fans every home game at Eagles Stadium.

“I think the 2016 season, from a team perspective, has been going great. We knew we had a lot to build on coming into the season and we are slowly putting all the pieces together but just taking each week one game at a time focusing on that week’s opponent.”
