Texas Football: Interview with Crowley 2017 Defensive End Milton Williams

Milton Williams had a great career at Crowley High School, located just outside of Fort Worth. The 6’4”, 235 pound, defensive end helped guide the Eagles to a 8-3 record in 2016 but unfortunately Crowley fell to Lake Ridge 49-42 in double overtime in the playoffs.

During his senior campaign, Williams racked an incredible 59 total tackles including 10 sacks, two forced fumbles and one defensive touchdown. After the season, the defensive playmaker won several individual awards including being named first team All-District.

Colleges have started to take notice of Williams, he currently has three offers and is also drawing interest from several other schools including Texas A&M. The class of 2017 recruit also works hard in the classroom where he currently has a 2.8 GPA and plans on studying electrical engineering in college.

In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I sat down with Milton to about his high school career and his recruiting process.

What are your thoughts on the 2017 season?

“It was my first time making it to the playoffs in my high school career. We had a pretty good run but couldn’t get the job done.”

What are your thoughts on your individual performance this season?

“Individually, this was my best season in high school. I received district defensive MVP and also first team All-District honors.”

What are your strengths on the football field?

“My strength is using my speed and power to stop the run and hurry the quarterback.”

Have you been on any college visits?

“No, not yet.

Did you attend any college camps over the summer?

“Yes, Stephen F. Austin, Texas Tech, and University of Texas-San Antonio.”

Do you have any college offers?

“Yes, New Mexico, Stephen F. Austin, Kentucky Christian, and Louisiana Tech.”

Are there any other schools showing interest in you?

“Texas Tech and Texas A&M.”

What is your GPA?

“2.8.”

What do you want to study in college?

“Electrical engineering.”

Who is your favorite football team?

“Seattle Seahawks.”

Who has had the biggest impact on your football career?

“My dad is the biggest influence on my football career. He is constantly pushing me to reach my limits.”

What are some of your most memorable moments of your high school career?

“Catching a pick-six my junior year and picking up a fumble and taking it to the house for a TD.”

Is there a current football player that you try to model your game after?

“Jason Pierre-Paul (New York Giants).”

What is your fastest 40 yard dash time?

“4.60.”
