De La Salle High School located in New Orleans had a great season with the Cavaliers finishing 18-5 making it all the way to the state quarterfinals. In 2016, the Cavaliers have the potential to have an even bigger year as freshman phenome Jalen Ned will join their varsity squad for the upcoming season.

Last year as an eighth grader, Ned was named MVP for the freshman team by averaging just under 17 points and 6.5 assists per game.

The 5’11”, 175 pound, point guard has outstanding dribbling skills and a high IQ on the court which he uses to help his team in any way he can.

Despite not having any experience at the varsity level, the class of 2020 recruit has already begun to get noticed by college coaches and has received three division one offers. Along with the offers, Ned is drawing interest from several other schools.

The young play-maker not only is a workhorse in the gym but works hard in the classroom with a 3.0 GPA.

In the upcoming season, Ned has goals of working hard in the gym and to help lead his team to a state championship.

In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I sat down with Jalen to talk about his career at De La Salle and his recruiting process.
