Kentucky’s 2017 recruiting class landed their 14th commit on Saturday when Ohio quarterback Danny Clark pledged to the Wildcats.

Colleges needing a pro-style quarterback started scrambling to Archbishop Hoban in late September to see Clark. Clark made big recruiting news on Sept. 27 when he decommitted from Ohio State after being a part of the Buckeyes’ 2017 class since 2013.

The 6-4, 223 pound, talent has been a steady player for Hoban helping his squad to a 14-1 mark last year winning a state title. The Knights are 8-1 this season with one game left against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin before heading into the playoffs to defend their title.

Kentucky picked up Clark’s commitment over an offer from Illinois with reported interest from Minnesota and Toledo. Clark posted his commitment on Twitter writing, “I am blessed and proud to say that I’m 100% committed to the University of Kentucky Wildcats!”

Clark is the second quarterback Kentucky has in the class joining in-state dual-threat Walker Wood from Lafayette High School.

247Sports and Rivals rates Kentucky’s class No. 38 in the nation, No. 12 in the SEC.
