Parkway High School, located in Bossier City (LA), started off their season by dropping three of their first four games. The Panthers also lost their starting quarterback, four-star TCU commit Justin Rogers, for the season and their best wide receiver, five-star Terrace Marshall Jr., for most of the year. One of the leaders of the team who has avoided the injury bug and has stepped up to lead Parkway to two straight wins is senior running back Eric “EJ” Williams.

The 5’8”, 180 pound, playmaker is having a great senior season rushing for 746 yards and scoring 14 touchdowns through the first six games of the year. The Class of 2018 prospect is currently drawing college interest in both football and baseball. On the diamond, Williams plays right field, third base, and pitcher.

With two straight district wins, first year head coach Neil May and Williams still have the Panthers in district contention but have a huge game this Friday night against the Yellow Jackets of C.E. Byrd. Both teams have one district loss and the winner will be just one game behind district leader Evangel Christian Academy.

Williams is not only a leader on the football field but also in the classroom where he enjoys studying history and science and plans on studying sports medicine in college.

In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I sat down with the senior running back to discuss his career at Parkway High School and his recruiting process.
