Recruiting efforts have been picking up for Hawaii at the end of September with the Warriors landing their second commitment in as many days. On Thursday, Folsom wide receiver/cornerback Drake Stallworth pledged to Hawaii.

Stallworth is another under the radar recruit Hawaii has lured out of California. Undervalued by recruiting services, Stallworth helped the Bulldogs to the semifinal round of the 2015 playoffs before falling 42-35 to Bellarmine College Prep. In part-time duty on offense, Stallworth had 24 receptions for 457 yards with seven touchdowns. On defense, he had 46 tackles, 33 solo, and was a terror defending the pass picking off five racking up 116 return yards with a pick-six and had a 92-yard scoop and score.

The Bulldogs are off to a nice start in 2016 with a 3-1 record. Stallworth has stepped up his production on offense pulling in 13 passes for 330 yards with a team-high six touchdowns.

Hawaii battled on the recruiting trail against Nevada, Air Force, Wyoming, UC-Davis, Idaho, Fresno State, Navy, Cal Poly, Eastern Washington, and Army. The 6-2, 190 pound, talent posted his commitment on Twitter writing, “I am excited to announce I have verbally committed to The University of Hawaii!! #GoWarriors #GoBows #PrideRock.”

The Warriors now have five verbal commitments to their 2017 class. Hawaii landed another highly sought after recruit on Tuesday with Isaia Mullen.
