Another flood of offers could still come Brian Huff’s way, but the interested better step to it. The four-star linebacker out of Jonesboro’s (Ark.) Valley View High School has three official visits set.

After Huff chased down 92 plays last fall for the Blazers, 16 offers came his way. But there is a long list of programs that could offer changing Huff’s recruiting landscape.

“Texas A&M, Oregon, SMU, Texas Tech, TCU, all the Texas schools, Ole Miss, Florida, and FSU are all showing interest,” Huff said.

The 2024 prospect continued sharing which teams are letting him know he is a priority on the recruiting trail, “Mizzou, Arkansas, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, and UCF; those are the five talking to me the most right now.”

The spring travel schedule has let college coaches from the Big 12, ACC, SEC, and Sun Belt Conference build a better bond with Huff.

“I’ve been to Arkansas, Mizzou, Mississippi State, Arkansas State, Florida, FSU, and UCF,” Huff stated.

The three-visit tour in the Sunshine State was broken down.

Florida: “It was good. They showed interest, and they want me back up maybe this summer again. They said we can talk about an offer then. I will try to get back this summer.”

Florida State: “It was great. I talked with their coaching staff; they want me to come back up this summer. I didn’t get to stay at FSU or Florida very long when I went.”

UCF: “It was great. I was there for a few hours, I had lots of time that day. That’s when I picked up the offer. I had a good talk with coach (Ernie) Sims (LB), he is a great coach. He played in the NFL, and it sounds like he was great. It would be awesome to play under coach Sims. I am blessed to have an opportunity to go there.”

Hailing from the Natural State, Huff updated his most recent trip to Fayetteville to see the Hogs.

“It was really good,” Huff said. “That was like my fifth time going there. It is easier for me to get there than other schools. When I was there, I saw a basketball game, had meetings with the coaches, and got to know the new defensive staff. It was pretty cool.”

Four visits are being planned out for Huff.

“Ole Miss, they want me on campus, they want to see me again,” Huff shared. “I think they may offer. I will probably go back to Arkansas and to Mississippi State and I am going to Notre Dame on April 22.”

Huff spoke about his enthusiasm to hang with the Fighting Irish.

“I can’t wait,” Huff stated. “I have heard nothing but good things. I am ready to meet the coaches and see what it is like up there.”

Official visits will begin in June for Huff.

“Right now, three are set and they are all in June; Mizzou (24-26), Notre Dame (9-11), and UCF (2-4),” Huff said.

Huff was asked how Missouri got one of his five potential official visits.

“They show a lot of interest in me, Mizzou is a great school, and they are in the SEC,” Huff shared. “I don’t care which conference I play in, but that is the best one. I have a strong bond with their coaches, we talk every day, text, Facetime or whatever.”
