Interview

Liam, congratulations on narrowing down your offers to five. What has the response been like for you from the fans on social media?

“It has been unbelievable. The amount of support I have received, it is surreal that there are people this passionate that want me to play for their university. It is cool. It is a childhood dream. It is cool and unique.”

What has the response been like from the coaches in your Top 5?

“They are all very happy that I have them in my Top 5 and they can’t wait to continue the process getting me there for a visit.”

If you will, in random order I will ask you about each school, share with me what got them a spot into your Top 5.

“Let’s do it.”

First school – Louisville:

“Louisville is a school that I have been to twice now. Once for a camp, where I earned my scholarship offer, and for a game day visit. I am familiar with the coaching staff. I feel the coaching staff has a lot to offer. I have received a lot of love from them, and they have great facilities.”

Fresno State:

“There is the same sort of thing with Fresno State. I have received a lot of love from them. From talking to coaches, there is a good Canadian connection there with four guys on the team from Canada, two on the offensive line. Their defensive coordinator is Canadian as well. Fresno State seems like a great place to be. I am excited to see the school.”

Washington State:

“I have heard a lot of great things about Washington State. The father of one of my teammates played there. He has peaked my interest in Washington State. He has told me great things about the school and has talked about their traditions. I can’t wait to see the campus and facilities in person.”

North Carolina:

“North Carolina is a great school, well-known for their academics. Coach Kap (Chris Kapilovic – OL) seems like an awesome coach. I have been in touch with them for a while. North Carolina is a place I really want to check out.”

Pitt:

Pitt was the first Power 5 school to offer me and to believe in me. They were my first camp as well. They have great coaches there and have shown me a lot of love. Pittsburgh is a great city. I have been there twice, for a camp and a game day visit. I like it there. I cannot wait to go back for an official.”

Now that you have your five together, what will be the next steps in narrowing them down to one?

“My official visits, that will play a big role. I have not been to three of the schools yet. I will go to each school to get a feel for the school and the coaches, to see what it is like. The official visits will be a deciding factor.”

Have you set any official visit dates yet?

“Yes. This weekend I am going to Louisville, that was finalized today. Next week I am planning on going to Fresno State and the weekend after that is North Carolina. The following weekend is my visit to Pittsburgh and the weekend after that is Washington State.”

The next question is when you may commit?

“I am committing on Dec. 19 at The Hall of Fame Game’s World Bowl Game in Mexico City. The game is on Dec. 22 on CBS but they are holding a press conference day for all the players on the 19th giving us the opportunity to commit then.”

You are going to be a very busy guy over the next month, but I am sure it will be very exciting. Liam, as always, thanks for your time today and good luck with all of your visits.

“Thank you.”
