Nothing in sports is more contagious than winning. In team sports, wins push the engine that is motivation forward even harder raising the level of excellence across the board for everyone on the roster. The 2017 Narbonne roster was once again ultra-competitive seeing the Gauchos work through a very difficult non-conference schedule then reel off five playoff victories for a California state title. One of the many next level talents on the Gauchos squad last season that pushed the overall skillset of the team to that next tier was junior safety Jordan Patterson. California transfer rules limited his overall action on the field, but progress on his overall game was made.

College coaches are waiting to see the 6-4, 197 pound, dangerous safety in action in 2018 before the avalanche of scholarships start to freefall surpassing his two offers that are already on the table from UCLA and USC. In a Recruiting News Guru exclusive interview, I sat down with the four-star Harbor City area product to learn more about his game and his offseason goals.

Where all might we see you on the field in 2018?

“You’ll see me at safety, nickel, receiver, slot, kick and punt return.”

“I’m going to Arizona next week for a Junior Day (Feb. 24) and I plan to visit Washington soon.”

What has you excited about visiting Arizona?

“I get to see Coach “Meet” (Demetrice Martin – cornerbacks coach). He is a good coach. I was committed to UCLA because of the way he coaches. He is a really good guy. I like being around him.”
