Interview

Kayshon, you’ve spent a lot of time on the LSU campus going to games and being around the staff and players. When did you decide to commit to LSU?

“I decided at the game on Saturday night (vs. Mississippi State).”

What factored into your decision to go ahead and commit?

“I was talking to Coach O (Ed Orgeron – head coach) before the game. He said, “imagine yourself catching touchdowns in Tiger Stadium.” He has been on me for a while to be a Tiger. I went to the game, thought about it during the game, but was still not sure after the game. The next day I was ready to commit.”

Which coach on the staff did you commit to and what was his reaction?

“I committed to Coach O.”

What was coach O’s reaction?

“He was proud.”

What was that moment like for you getting to commit to LSU?

“It was a good moment. I know I did a good thing on my part committing to LSU.”

How will the LSU staff use your abilities within their offense once on campus?

“I think they will at slot and on the outside. We haven’t talked about the specifics, but at receiver.”

How does it feel to have a dream realized with the opportunity to continue your academics and football career at a great school like LSU?

“It feels good. It feels good knowing I can finish high school without too much stress worrying about where I am going to go to college. My goal and dream has come true; it is a good feeling.”

Kayshon, congratulations on your commitment and good luck with the rest of your season.

“Thank you.”
