Interview

Ketron, congratulations on your commitment to Arkansas.

Thank you.

The recruiting process is not easy for the players, especially for someone of your talents and success. How did you take the 20-plus offers given to you and narrow that down to a couple of programs?

I narrowed it down to the most reasonable offers, and to the teams with the best coaches. The coaches that will stand by my side and that I built relationships with are how I narrowed it down.

What was it about the Razorbacks that set them apart from the others earning your verbal commitment?

Their coaches and the relationships I have with the coaches. Also, our recruiting class. I felt that I was a great fit to be in this class.

How do the Arkansas coaches see you fitting into their scheme once on campus?

At outside receiver. KB (Kendal Briles – OC) said he may move me around, but my main position would be outside.

What did they tell you they liked about your talents and abilities?

They said I am a great play-maker at the high school level and that I have the abilities to be a great play-maker in college. They said they wanted to coach me through that in college. KB breads play-makers in his offense.

When did you verbally commit to the Hogs and which coach received the good news first?

About two weeks ago. I told Coach Briles, Coach (Justin) Stepp (WR), and Coach (Sam) Pittman (head coach). I told them then that I was leaning towards them.

Right before you notified the coaching staff, what was going through your mind knowing the impact of this life-changing decision?

I was feeling that it was the right decision for me. With Arkansas, I knew I had coaches by my side on and off. They will help me be a better player and person on and off the field. They like me off the field, I liked that.

Now that you’ve announced and the reality of a dream has been achieved, how do you feel?

I feel relieved. That took a lot of stress off my shoulders. I had a lot of great offers and great opportunities, but now I can now focus on my senior season.

What did you do or will you do to celebrate this life achievement?

I have not done anything yet. I’m not the celebratory kind of person. Since my announcement, I have just chilled with my family. I have done nothing major to celebrate.

Are you going to start helping bring other recruits to Arkansas for the 2021 and/or 2022 class?

Yes, sir.

What’s your pitch on why the Hogs are a great program?

Arkansas is a good program. In the great state of Arkansas, the fans show a lot of love. They have great coaches and great facilities; it is a great decision to go to Arkansas with the staff they have. It will be a great time with great players.

Ketron, always great catching up with you, especially covering ground on your commitment. Thanks for your time and good luck with your senior season until we talk again.

Yes, sir. Thank you.
