There are few high school football programs in the country where an underclassman can cut their teeth in practice gaining as much valuable experience as some time on the field in certain states and in various classifications. Peter Costelli spent the 2017 season with one of the nation’s best high school football programs, St. John Bosco, starting the year out at the freshman level and then was promoted to the junior varsity ranks dressing out with the Braves’ varsity squad going forward. An offseason move to Santa Margarita has the 6-2, 193-pound, field general in position to helm an offense all his own while playing against top national talent yet again in the Trinity League.

In a Recruiting News Guru exclusive interview, I sat down with one of the rising talents in California’s 2021 class to learn more about his game and offseason preparations for a potentially big sophomore campaign.
