A football season in California’s Inland Empire would not seem complete without a Dye suiting up for an area team. The list of Dye’s steaming through the area have left a mark on high school football with Tony Dye playing for Santiago High School (Corona) before heading off to UCLA and the Cincinnati Bengals. Wide receiver Jordan Dye is at Sterling College (Kansas), Terry Dye is at Texas Tech, and Norco 2016 linebacker Troy Dye inked his letter of intent with Oregon. Now another Dye his forging his own path forward, Travis Dye.

Dye is a class of 2018 cornerback/wide receiver/running back for Norco High School. He split his time on offense in 2015 between running back and wide receiver. Dye had over 1,000 yards rushing with nine scores (MaxPreps). When Dye switched over to wide receiver, he ended up with over 600 yards. For his efforts, Dye earned first team All-League and third team All-State honors.

In a Recruiting News Guru exclusive interview, I caught up with Dye after Norco’s spring showcase to cover his 2015 season, offseason workouts, and potential offseason college camps.
