After Rodney Hill punished Florida ball carriers for Flagler High School last fall, offers have continued to roll his way. Liberty, Wofford, and Coastal Carolina have been the latest to extend scholarship opportunities for the new Mainland High School (Daytona, Fla.) defender with new Power Five interest heating up.

As college coaches are getting out taking in spring practices, top Power Five teams are stopping by in Daytona to learn more about the four-star backer.

Florida State, I talked to them yesterday,” Hill said. “Penn State, USC, and Missouri came by.”

UCF welcomed Hill to campus in March and is lining up to be one of his official visits.

“I plan on setting one to UCF soon,” Hill stated. “Coach Ernie Sims (LB), we have a tight bond. He stays in touch.”

Since Liberty offered, linebackers coach Josh Linam has worked quickly to develop a growing bond with Hill.

“Their linebackers coach, coach Linam, we’ve been talking,” Hill shared. “We are getting our relationship tighter since he offered. He came by to see me today (Tuesday).”

Asked how the face-to-face meeting went, Hill replied, “It went well. We were laughing and joking.”

The Chanticleers have been turning on the recruiting heat working to forge a bond bolstering the offer.

“They offered a couple of days ago, we’ve been texting getting to know each other better,” Hill shared.

The Florida Gators have continued their interest in Hill but have not offered yet. Some of the offering teams for Hill includes Iowa State, Tennessee, USF, UCF, Pitt, and Wake Forest.
