2017 OC Josh Donovan Decommits from North Texas

North Texas lost in-state 2017 center Josh Donovan on Thursday via a cryptic message on Twitter.

Donovan committed to the Mean Green on June 1 helping push the class to 12 overall commits by the time his change of heart occurred. The College Station High School standout has reported offers from New Mexico, New Mexico State, Stephen F. Austin, McNeese State, and Texas-San Antonio.

Mean Green fans found out about his decommitment via Twitter with a lot of subtext within the message:

Donovan (6-5, 292) is a key contributor to a College Station team that posted a perfect regular season with a 10-0 record. The Cougars are a run-first team with over 2,400 yards on the ground and 1,849 yards in the passing game this season thus far.

The Eagles 2017 class is ranked No. 107 in the nation per 247Sports. Southwest High School running back Tyrone Middleton is the only other announced decommitment in the 2017 class for UNT.
