Hawaii added their fourth verbal commitment to their 2017 recruiting class on Tuesday pulling Isaia Mullen out of Oregon.

Mullen has flown under the radar with Madison High School during the 2015 season and on into the 2016 season despite arguably being one of the top receivers in Oregon. The Senators had a tough season a year ago but are off to a 3-0 start this year against 6A competition.

The 6-3, sometimes listed at 6-4, 190 pound, target shows great concentration on passes coming his way. His height and athleticism eliminates 50/50 passes making hanging passes a secured catch. In addition to sure hands, Mullen shows great vertical speed routinely able to beat coverage downfield.

Hawaii beat out early offers from Idaho, Montana State, and Portland State for Mullen. Mullen posted his decision on Twitter writing, “Blessed to announce that I am verbally committing to the University of Hawaii. #blessedandhumble.”

The Warriors now have four verbal commitments to their 2017 class.

Mullen is rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports highlighting Hawaii’s class to date.
