The 2015 college football season is finally here with action beginning on Thursday with North Carolina taking on South Carolina and extending through Monday night when No. 1 Ohio State seeks revenge against Virginia Tech for their lone 2014 loss.

Some of the top games of the week include:

North Carolina vs. South Carolina – ACC vs. SEC, border war, and the opening game of the season… does it get any better?

Western Kentucky at Vanderbilt – WKU has one of the best offensive engines in the nation with the best quarterback you’ve never heard of… Brandon Doughty

Michigan at Utah – This was a big win for the Utes in 2014 and is the opening of the Jim Harbaugh era in Michigan. High expectations on both sides of the field.

Washington at Boise State – Bronco players recruited by Chris Petersen get a chance to whip their former head coach. A win for Bryan Harsin would remove that large looming shadow from his predecessor on the other side of the field.

Louisville vs. No. 7 Auburn – The game is being held in Atlanta, a place where Gus Malzahn wants to be at season’s end and a place residents in the area do not want Cardinals’ head coach Bobby Petrino – ever. Two offensive geniuses squaring off with two great defensive coordinators Will Muschamp – Auburn and Todd Grantham – Louisville, the best of the best football chest match.

No. 18 Wisconsin vs. No. 3 Alabama in Arlington – The Crimson Tide only has three starters back on offense and everyone wants to see how the play under center looks heading into the season. A new staff in Madison but will the high-end results be the same?

No. 16 Arizona State at Texas A&M in Houston – Outside of wanting to see your favorite team play this contest should be the most interesting to watch on a national level. Two high-powered offenses slugging it out with two suspect defenses trying in earnest to stop the other – a textbook college football shootout!
