When California high school football fans last saw Blake Jenkins, he was making plays for Pasadena High School. Jenkins did not disappoint the viewing audience playing out on the island on defense and snagging passes on offense as a wide receiver for the Bulldogs.

In the offseason, Jenkins transferred from Pasadena to Centennial High School in Corona taking along with him his roughly 25 tackles, 15 pass breakups, and one interception. Though incomplete season stats, in just four games of stats collected, the 6’1”, 190 pound, athlete also took his 11 receptions for 121 yards with a score to one of the biggest powerhouses in the nation making the strong even stronger.

Jenkins talents have been recognized by college coaches with Iowa State extending an offer and teams like BYU, Kentucky, Colorado State, San Diego State, UNLV, San Jose State, and Fresno State all showing interest. Jenkins has been on a couple of unofficial visits so far seeing Cal’s campus along with San Jose State’s.

In a Recruiting News Guru exclusive interview, I caught up with Jenkins during an unofficial visit to UCLA getting an update on his offseason workouts and received a recruiting news update.
