After a statement junior season, Woodward Academy (Atlanta) receiver Ben Grice racked in the offers with 25 on the table. Torching 6A Georgia teams, Grice hauled in 54 passes for 976 yards with 15 scores and returned nine punts covering 245 yards tallying 19 total touchdowns. With all that Grice (6-0, 180) can bring to a collegiate roster, two ACC teams are pushing hard to secure his verbal commitment.

Spring visits have been taken to two ACC programs with a possible trip into Big Ten territory in the future.

“I went to Boston College first and then to Wake Forest for my second visit,” Grice said. “I thought about going to Northwestern; I am undecided on that visit. That could be one I take in the future.”

The Eagles impressed Grice while hanging in Chestnut Hill.

“It was a really good visit,” Grice shared. “They showed a lot of hospitality, which I appreciated. I saw one of their spring practices, toured the campus, and I met with head coach Jeff Hafley and their receivers coach, coach (Darrell) Wyatt. I really liked it. The hospitality there was amazing. It was everything I could ask for.”

The Demon Deacons didn’t disappoint when Grice was in Winston-Salem.

“The hospitality there was amazing from the moment I got there to the time when we were leaving,” Grice stated. “I saw practice and walked the campus; I got a good vibe when I was there. I sat down with head coach Dave Clawson; he sat down with me and my family. I really appreciated that. It was a great visit. They showed their campus and team off really well.”

Northwestern and Stanford could factor into Grice’s recruitment.

“I know Northwestern wants me to come up, but they haven’t offered yet,” Grice said. “They have asked me to visit. We’ve done a Zoom with their receivers coach (Armon Binns) and my parents. Stanford’s receivers coach (Tyler Osborne) is coming to one of our practices, but I don’t know their interest level.”

Visits for Grice are on hold for now.

“As of right now, no, I don’t have any visits scheduled,” Grice shared. “The schools I have gone to, I have really liked.”
