The “got to haves” on the football recruiting trail go deep at every position but rarely do we see a long snapper being flipped from one Power Five Conference team to another. That rarity happened on Sunday when Desert Ridge High School special teams standout Adam Bay pledged to the Badgers.

Bay committed to the Missouri Tigers on Aug. 26 racking up five reported offers in total. The Badgers kept the 6-0, 210 pound, snapper away from offers extended by Memphis, New Mexico, and Wyoming. An official visit over the weekend did the trick, as reported by 247Sports. *At the time of post, Bay has not updated his Twitter page acknowledging that he has committed to Wisconsin.

Wisconsin has had success going into Arizona as of late. In the 2016 class they landed quarterback Kare’ Lyles, and then added his younger brother Kayden on Oct. 1, 2015. Kayden will go down in the books as an in-state signee after transferring to Middleton before his senior season. The Lyles’ brothers are Wisconsin legacies.

247Sports ranks Wisconsin’s 2017 class No. 48 in the nation, No. 10 overall in the Big Ten.
