Arizona State Schedules Home-and-Home Series against UNLV

A regional matchup that has only gone down one other time on the collegiate gridiron is now set. On Friday Arizona State and UNLV announced an agreed home-and-home series to begin in 2020.

The series kicks off in Las Vegas on Sept. 12, 2020 with Arizona State hosting the Rebels on Sept. 11, 2021.

The only other time the two teams met was in 2008 with UNLV taking the road win in Tempe 23-20.

In recent years Arizona State has scheduled great non-conference games to help excite the fan base. In 2014 the Sun Devils flexed their muscles against Notre Dame winning 55-31 and open the 2015 season against Texas A&M on a neutral site in Houston.

A game in Nevada could open up recruiting doors to the Silver State. The only recent recruit pulled out of Nevada was in 2014 when Bishop Gorman defensive back Armand Perry signed with ASU. Before Perry signed with the Sun Devils, fans will have to look back to the 2008 class to see a Nevada high school star head to Tempe. In 2008 ASU signed defensive back Josh Jordan (Bishop Gorman) and defensive tackle Lawrence Guy (Western HS).
