Arizona’s 2017 recruiting class seems to have no limit pushing the number of commitments to 26 on Friday with Arizona Western College defensive end Matt Leo.

Leo is the true definition of an under the radar player. The Wildcats must be taking the advice of the Matadors coaching staff on this recruit. Leo, listed at 6-7, 265, is an unknown for several reasons including originally being from Australia and after only logging three tackles in 11 games played last season.

The Adelaide area native was a high risk big reward recruit garnering reported offers from Iowa State and Central Florida before committing to the Wildcats.

Arizona’s class is big on speed and athleticism with little attention to the trenches. Of the 26 players committed, two are offensive linemen, Cody Shear and Edgar Burrola, and one on defense with tackle Kurtis Brown. The Wildcats do have three defensive ends with Elijah Watson, Kylan Wilborn, and Leo.
