Arkansas Bolsters Secondary with 4-Star Texas CB Chevin Calloway

The Razorbacks put a big emphasis on recruiting talent in the secondary for their 2017 class. The hard work has paid off with one of the more highly rated Arkansas secondary recruiting classes in years bolstered by Dallas four-star corner Chevin Calloway.
Calloway is that true cover corner all colleges covet. The Dunnes High School standout has been fine-tuning his craft on the field since his sophomore season when he tallied 64 tackles and picked off a pass. His sophomore season ended with 50 tackles and three interceptions. The opposition rarely tried the 5-10, 180 pound speedster in the passing game but when they did he broke up 11 passes and picked off three with 12 tackles for a loss and 61 total stops during the 2016 schedule.
Arkansas hosted Calloway on Jan. 20. The Under Armour All-American had over 30 scholarship offers taking official visits to Ole Miss (Dec. 9) and Texas (Jan. 13).
The addition of Calloway places Arkansas’ 2017 recruiting class at No. 28 in the nation, No. 10 overall in the SEC. Safety Montaric Brown is also a four-star recruit while safety Korey Hernandez and corners Jarques McClellion, Jordon Curtis, and Kamren Curl are all rated as three-star prospects.
