The Razorbacks new focus on recruiting in the state of Louisiana under head coach Bret Bielema is starting to payoff. The 2016 class netted four out of the Sportsman’s Paradise and the 2017 class is off to a similar start landing their second from Louisiana on Wednesday with John Ehret High School’s Dwyane Fisher.

Fisher was a two-way monster for the Patriots in 2015 lining up at offensive and defensive tackle. Listed at 6-5, 300 pounds, Fisher is ideally sized to play both at the next level. As an offensive lineman, Fisher shows great aptitude in run blocking looking to finish off plays against defenders. On defense, he has great athleticism using his quickness and a long wingspan to be a disruptive force against the run and on passing downs.

Offers for Fisher vary with as many as nine being reported. Some of the schools the Razorbacks kept the Marrero area product from includes Mississippi State, Louisiana-Lafayette, Jackson State, Louisiana-Monroe, McNeese State, Texas-San Antonio, Arkansas State, and Colorado.

Fisher is the second John Ehret player to join the Hogs in consecutive seasons. Arkansas signed linebacker De’jon Harris as part of the 2016 class also pulling 4-star defensive tackle Briston Guidry (Rummel HS), 3-star linebacker Giovanni LaFrance (St. Augustine HS), and 3-star quarterback Cole Kelley (Teurlings Catholic). Fisher is the second Louisiana player added to the 2017 class with Archbishop Rummel linebacker added on Jan. 29.
