Breaking News: “The Wesleyan Nightmare” safety Jordan Mack sets announcement date

One of the hardest hitting safeties in the 2016 recruiting class, Jordan Mack, “The Wesleyan Nightmare”, is ready! Mack is ready in more ways than one for the next level coming in at 6’3”, 200 pounds, running a 4.45 forty-yard dash. But first the Wesleyan High School star must narrow down his school of choice from eight offers with 12 top programs still showing heavy to moderate interest.

In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview the Norcross, Georgia star sets his announcement date and fills us in on how his recruiting has gone since we last spoke with him in-depth back in February.

Jordan, since we’ve last sat down for an interview you’ve been really busy with recruiting offers and interest coming in left and right. Fill us in on which schools are showing interest and which schools have extended offers.

“I have offers from Georgia Tech, Georgia Southern, Boston College, Virginia, UMass, Georgia State, and Furman. I was just offered by Vanderbilt too!

Which schools are showing interest in you but have not offered yet?

“Duke, Georgia, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Penn State, Miami, Louisville, Arkansas, Northwestern, and Oregon are all showing interest.”

Have any of the schools stepped it up over the last couple of months?

“Northwestern has really picked it up. Vanderbilt has picked it up a little bit and Stanford has come into play.”

When you head up to Charlottesville what are your goals?

“I’m just going to visit the campus and see everything I need to see.”

How did your unofficial to Boston College go?

“It went well. I talked to Coach (Steve) Addazio. I got to spend the night with one of the players I’m good friends with that’s on the team. I really liked it, pretty cool place.”

You’ve been on unofficial visits to Georgia Tech a couple of times. How have those visits gone for you?

“Every time I go up there it goes how I expect it, it goes well. Everything feels right every time I’m up there. I’m gelling with the guys up there really well.”

Are you going to any college camps this summer?

“Right now, the way it’s looking, I don’t think so. I’m just going on a lot of visits because I want to make my commitment in August.”

Have you picked an announcement date?

“August 3.”

Why August 3?

“After sitting down and talking to my parents about it and how I felt about different schools we came to the conclusion that August 3 was the day to do it. I definitely want to do it before the football season starts and not too early. I think August 3 is the right time.”

Have you given any thought on where you will make your big verbal commitment announcement?

“I’ll definitely do it with my football team after a practice or at one of our lifting sessions. I’ll tell my team first before I go public with it.”

How you’re going to do it?

“I’m thinking about the three hats.”

“Definitely but I don’t want to release it right now until I’m ready.”

Good luck Jordan.

“Thank you.”
