Cal Golden Bears Ranked No. 25 in Nation, Texas LB Cameron Goode Commits

Many college football teams are nearing their limit of 25 commitments for the 2016 recruiting class. As one top player after the other pledges to play for one school after another the Cal Golden Bears have done a steady job month after month during the offseason of picking up solid recruits.

On Saturday Cal traveled to Texas to land Klein Collins High School linebacker Cameron Goode now finding the class ranked No. 25 by Rivals.

College recruiters took notice of Goode after helping the Tigers to an 11-2 record in 2014. Klein Collins slipped into the third round of the Texas High School State Playoffs before falling to state runner-up Skyline High School (Dallas) 34-14.

The 6’3”, 195 pound, Houston area talent picked the Golden Bears over offers from Boston College, Kansas, Louisiana Lafayette, Texas State, and Iowa State.

Cal’s recruiting class includes players from six different states having landed three out of the Lone Star State; defensive end Tevin Paul (Austin), cornerback Josh Drayden (Dallas), and Goode.
