The future is bright in Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) under center with Dia Bell (6-2, 185) running the show. The 2026 QB has been working his way to being the leader of American Heritage’s offense while receiving tutelage from some of college football’s best quarterback coaches. The skills displayed have brought seven offers to the table with two more camps left on the schedule.

One of the Sunshine State’s powerhouses, Bell explained the Patriots’ offense.

“We will probably run a fast-paced Spread offense,” Bell said. “With the guys we have, we have track kids at receiver and two at quarterback, we will run a Spread fast-paced offense.”

Spending time with QB coaches Oliver Bozeman and James Brady, Bell spoke about how he is fine-tuning his craft this summer.

“I have been working on my timing with the receivers, that will be key for me, and I have been getting more experience against certain types of defenses,” Bell stated. “With my QB coaches, it is more minor stuff; like not being too loopy on my back stroke. My mechanics are fine, but they want to get me tightened up in other places.”

The camp performances have been impressive with a couple still ahead.

“I went to a few, and I have two more to go,” Bell shared. “I went to Notre Dame, Ohio State, Utah, BYU, Miami, Florida, Florida State, and I am going to West Virginia and Penn State.”

Bell spun it well in the Beehive State.

“Honestly, my best was probably the Utah or BYU camp,” Bell said. “It felt like one of those days where I was really on and locked in. At all the camps I try to lock in, but it was different for me then. I got to showcase what I can do better at the BYU camp, they set up a 7-on-7.”

Bell shared why he’s excited to spin it in front of Neal Brown and his staff in Morgantown.

“My receivers have offers from there,” Bell stated. “They are telling me it is a great school, and they said I should try to showcase what I can do up there. Their coaches have come by our school, I want to show them I am interested in them as well.”

A showcase performance is the goal while in Happy Valley.

“My teammates have been up there as well; they are a top program that I have looked at,” Bell shared. “It will be cool to be there and showcase myself.”

There are some possible game-day visits for Bell this fall.

“I am looking at going to a Notre Dame game, Utah, Florida, Florida State, and Miami,” Bell said. “I am looking into all of them.”

In late June, Bell added scholarship offers from Florida and Miami. With the possibility of returning to both campuses this fall, Bell spoke about his relationship with each coaching staff.

Miami: “It is great honestly. We have a pipeline from American Heritage working there. The relationship there is very strong.”

Florida: “I have been up there a couple of times now; I like the vibe I get from coach (Ryan) O’Hara (OA). They have a really cool program up there.”
