For those in the know, Rukeem Stroud is another standout corner coming out of the Sunshine State. For those who don’t, patience is needed, but as a PSA, there’s a dude at Tampa Bay Tech in the 2025 class college programs will find very soon.

With verified track speed, 10.8 in the 100 and 21.9 in the 200, Stroud (6-0, 160) can run with any receiver out there. The laser time in the 40, in the 4.4 neighborhood. More than speed, Stroud is refining his craft.

“I have been working on my off-man and press technique,” Stroud said. “I’ve been going hard in the weight room to get my strength and weight up. This offseason I have also been focused on my speed; all the things you need as a corner.”

This fall, Tech will move Stroud around as needed depending on the opponent.

“On defense, I am rotating at corner, safety, and I will play some at nickelback covering that slot position,” Stroud stated.

When college teams flip on the film, they will see Stroud has improved upon the weaknesses. The Florida Gators were able to see those changes in Gainesville.

“I went to one camp at the University of Florida,” Stroud shared. “That was a good camp. I did some one-on-ones, drills, and I learned a lot from their coaches.”

Heading into his junior campaign, Stroud holds offers from Penn State, Ole Miss, Bethune-Cookman, Middle Tennessee State, and Western Michigan. Some of those same squads are in line to see Stroud on Saturday in the coming weeks.

“I plan on taking visits during the season,” Stroud stated. “I’m looking at Penn State, Ole Miss, and Middle Tennessee.”

The dream is to see a White Out game in Happy Valley.

“I feel really good about Penn State,” Stroud said. “I really want to go to the White Out game. It looks like a fun and live atmosphere. That is a game I would like to visit.”

If a trip to Oxford happens, it will be Stroud’s first to the state of Mississippi.

“I have never been to Mississippi before; it would be a really cool experience,” Stroud shared. “I want to see what they do on a game-day.”

When the next wave of offers come Stroud’s way, Louisville, Virginia Tech, Coastal Carolina, UCF, and Cincinnati may be among the many.
