All Tyjon Lindsey has done on the high school gridiron over the last two years is win championship and turnout high-end productivity. The speedy receiver was a part of back-to-back Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) 15-0 teams that won Nevada state championships and national theoretical high school championships. In the offseason, Lindsey transferred from Bishop Gorman to Centennial High School (Corona) making the Huskies, once again, a national title contender out of California.

Few public schools are as loaded with top talent as Centennial High School. The Huskies had eight players sign Division-I letters of intent to teams like Cal, Boise State, Arizona, Washington, and Notre Dame. The 2017 class should equal the number of signees when their time comes in February if not surpass the total with Lindsey being one of the highest rated players as a four-star (Rivals). With all of the talent on the squad, Centennial ended up the No. 2 ranked team in the nation by MaxPreps at the end of the 2015 season after winning California’s Southern Section Championship. The Huskies lost 28-21 to De La Salle in the overall finals but their squad was still so well respected they were considered among the best in the nation despite the title loss.

Lindsey (5-8, 182) dominated in the Gaels wide-open offense hauling in 34 passes for 884 yards with 15 scores in 2014 and returned five kicks for 107 yards along with 10 punts for 281 yards with a 92-yard score. Lindsey led the Gaels during his junior season with 45 receptions covering 1,117 yards with 14 scores making a strong connection with top 2017 dual-threat quarterback Tate Martell. Lindsey once again shinned on special teams returning 20 punts for 237 yards averaging 12 yards per attempt with a long of 65 yards.

The colleges lining up to try to sign Lindsey is a long and decorated list that includes Alabama, USC, Michigan, Oregon, Arizona, Texas A&M, Cal, UCLA, Washington, Utah, Colorado, Missouri, Washington State, Arizona State, and Auburn to name a few.

The addition of Lindsey to Centennial’s already stocked roster makes the Huskies one of the top talent laden teams in the nation heading into the 2016 season.
