Fun Q&A interview with Wisconsin Badgers Class of 2016 commitment Karé Lyles
Before Badgers’ legacy Karé Lyles matriculates onto the Madison, Wisconsin campus he has the rare opportunity to do what few have ever done, win back-to-back Arizona state championships. Making the feat even more impressive, Lyles can give Saguaro High School a state title in two different classifications after the Scottsdale squad moves up a level in 2015.
We quizzed Lyles on all things football in a previous Recruiting News Guru exclusive interview but we wanted to know more. We wanted to know what the man with a gun for an arm that racked up over 3,400 yards passing while posting a touchdown to interception ratio of 40-5 is like off the field. In an ongoing RNG “getting to know you” series we asked Karé about a few of his favorite things.

Karé, what is your favorite movie?
“Interstellar.”
Who is your favorite actor?
“Denzel Washington.”
Who is your favorite actress?
“Paula Patton.”
What is your favorite TV show?
“A Football Life.”
What is your favorite book?
“My favorite book is probably Catcher in the Rye (J.D. Salinger).
What is your favorite type of music?
“I like R&B. I’m kind of old school. Have you heard of Tribe called Quest?”
Of course, I’m a big fan of Q-Tip. What other musicians do you like?
“Kendrick Lamar and I used to listen to Michael Jackson all the time. I like Jazz, Hip-Hop, and R&B.”
Do you have a favorite musician?
“It has to be Lupe Fiasco. I really like “The Show Goes On.”
What is your favorite song?
“It’d probably be “Check the Rhyme” by Tribe Called Quest.”
What hobbies do you have outside of football?
“I like creating art, painting, drawing all that. I like watching movies. I also like learning about history, history in general. I also like spacey things. I look up things that happen in space. When I was little I wanted to work for NASA.”
Do you speak any foreign languages?
“I took Spanish but I’m not good at it.”
What is your favorite type of food?
“BBQ.”
Do you have a favorite game system?
“I don’t play games that much but I have a PS4.”
When you do play games what is your favorite game to play?
“Madden, that’s the only game I have.”
What is your favorite subject in school?
“History.”
Who is your favorite athlete?
“I like Muhammad Ali and Dennis Rodman.”
What is your favorite holiday?
“Christmas.”
If you could be a superhero which superhero would you be?
“Oh man, Captain America.”
Why Captain American?
“His leadership roles and he’s always at the gym. He doesn’t look like a superhero but can do things normal people cannot do.”
Do you have a favorite professional sports team?
“The (Seattle) Seahawks.”
