Georgia 2017 WR Sean Nelson Commits to Maryland

The Terrapins momentum on the recruiting trail continued on Saturday when Georgia wide receiver Sean Nelson verbally committed to Maryland.

Maryland secured Nelson’s verbal commitment over teams like Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Louisville, Northern Illinois, Arkansas State, Troy, Toledo, West Virginia, Miami (OH), Tulane, and West Virginia.

Nelson’s announcement went national via a post on Twitter reading, “Im [sic] officially a Terp!!” followed by:

After being limited to three games in 2014 pulling in nine passes for 118 yards with two scores, during Nelson’s junior season he led the Panthers with 34 receptions covering a team-high 681 yards with three scores.

Maryland now has eight verbal commitments to their 2017 class picking up seven of the eight since the start of April. The haul is highlighted by five-star IMG Academy defensive end Josh Kaindoh.
