A top 13 for Georgia safety TyShun White is narrowing into focus. The four-star 2024 talent out of Buford High School has put unofficial trips on hold for now with four official visits locked in beginning in June.

The teams making a push for White includes North Carolina, Michigan State, Texas, Michigan, Texas A&M, Miami, and Florida.

White shared his official visit plans, “Right now, I have UNC, Texas A&M, Michigan State, and Texas. As of right now, that’s all of them. I will take all of them in June.”

How each team got a spot on White’s official visit list was explained.

THE BREAKDOWN

North Carolina: “Coach (Charlton) Warren (DB) and coach (Mack) Brown, that connection. They treat us like family. It feels good to be at UNC. That is one of the reasons I chose to take an official there.”

Texas A&M: “Coach (Terry) Price (DE) and (2024 Milton WR) Debron (Gatling). I haven’t been down there yet, but we’ve been talking. I was supposed to go down a couple of weeks ago, I couldn’t go.”

Michigan State: “I went up there the 28th of March. It was great going up there and seeing my old teammates and talking with coach (Mel) Tucker. That was a cool experience. It is nice up there.”

Texas: “Coach (Blake) Gideon (DB), he knows my safety coach. Coach Gideon and I, we have a relationship. I will take that OV there soon.”

With the four official visits marked, and for any others White may take, he explained what is important to experience on each trip that will influence his final decision.

“Seeing how they see me as player, getting to know the coaching staff, learning how the defense works, and learning more about the coaches,” White said.

The top 13 teams on White’s list on Dec. 28, 2022: Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, and Virginia Tech.
