The freight train that is Georgia’s 2024 recruiting class continued to roll through the recruiting landscape Tuesday morning adding another four-star prospect to their 2024 class in Justin Greene (6-4, 260).

Five teams were in contention for the strongside defensive end out of Mountain View High School (Lawrenceville, Ga.), Alabama, Auburn, LSU, South Carolina, and Georgia. Official visits were set with the Bulldogs, Gamecocks, War Eagle, and Tigers.

IN HIS WORDS

“Coach Scott and I have been talking a lot. I like their defense, and they put out talent in the draft every year. I think they can develop me.” – Justin Greene

The Bulldogs hosted Greene on an official visit June 2-4. Greene made an unofficial stop in Athens this spring.

“I visited Georgia,” Greene stated. “Georgia is not that far away, about 45 minutes from my house.”

Greene continued, “It was good. We were watching defensive film. I was watching film with coach (Tray) Scott, their defensive line coach, and coach (Glenn) Schumann (DC). We were breaking down film.”

The film session allowed the Bulldogs’ staff to show Greene how he would be utilized within their scheme.

“That is why we were watching the film,” Greene shared. “I like the plan. I’m pretty sure I would be the strongside end, to the field, with some spot drops into the flats or into the middle of the field.”

Georgia’s current recruiting cycle is on a rampage with four five-star prospects and eight four-star recruits. Greene is the 17th verbal commitment for the Bulldogs in the 2024 class.
