Houston Cougars Add Huge Mississippi JUCO DE Joe Anderson

The Cougars won another key recruiting battle securing three-star junior college strongside defensive end Joe Anderson on Friday.
Anderson is part of a Copiah-Lincoln squad off to a 4-3 start in the MACJC division. During his freshman season, Anderson ended the year with 15 tackles, three tackles for a loss, and two sacks. Through six games this season, the 6-6, 303 pound, talent is credited with six tackles and two tackles for a loss.
Anderson, originally from Reserve (LA) out of Riverside Academy, got his offer from Houston on April 29. Other teams to offer includes USC, Alabama, Memphis, South Carolina, Kansas, Ole Miss, Central Florida, Iowa State, Mississippi State, UTSA, Texas A&M, and Colorado State. Out of high school, Anderson committed to Ole Miss.
The commitment to Houston went public on Twitter with Anderson posting, “I am extremely blessed to announce… I’m committed to the University of Houston. #HTownTakeover #GoCougs #HTX.”
Houston has the No. 34 overall ranked 2017 recruiting class per 247Sports, second best in the AAC.
