St. Charles East High School, located 40 miles west of Chicago, is off to another great season in 2018 with a 2-0 start after the Fighting Saints finishing 9-3 in 2017 making it to the second round of the playoffs. In their two wins this season, they have outscored their opponents 79-21 with the key to their offensive success being the play of their offensive line led by Class of 2020 star Dylan Barrett.

Barrett (6-5, 285), an offensive guard, is currently ranked as the ninth best recruit in the state of Illinois among his peer group with three-star status. The big man does a great job finishing his blocks and battling his opponents until the end of every play. Off the field, Barrett works hard in the classroom where he has GPA of 4.4. That kind of play on the field and dedication to the books has drawn a next level audience. Barrett holds numerous college offers from the likes of Iowa and Wisconsin. It’s only a matter of time before colleges all over the country come knocking on his door.

In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru, I sat down with Dylan to discuss his recruiting process and his career at St. Charles East.
