Boston College third-year head coach Steve Addazio entered the 2015 college football season ready to turn the proverbial corner with the Eagles. BC has posted back-to-back 7-win seasons and are off to great start with a 3-1 record with their lone loss being a 14-0 defeat by then No. 9 Florida State.

Despite having just three starters back on offense and six on defense, Addazio and defensive coordinator Don Brown knew they had enough key elements from last year’s nationally ranked No. 11 total defense to win some games and keep other games close enough for a shot at winning. Be it Murphy’s Law or the football gods, the injury bug is not making Addazio and company’s plan at pushing the program forward any easier.

On Monday Addazio announced the Eagles would be without starting running back Jon Hillman after the sophomore fractured his foot in Week 4 against Northern Illinois. On Monday Hillman underwent successful surgery on Sunday. How long Hillman will be out is still to be determined but Addazio did add that he’ll be out “an extended period of time.”

Hillman was second on the Eagles squad last year rushing for 860 yards with 13 touchdowns behind former quarterback Tyler Murphy’s 1,184 rushing yards. Eagles offensive coordinator Todd Fitch has done a great job of spreading carries around early in the season with four different players over 100 yards rushing and one, Marcus Outlow at 98 yards. Hillman leads the group with 198 yards and two scores, followed by Tyler Rouse at 160 yards with five touchdowns, Jeff Smith with 153 yards and three scores, and Myles Willis having rushed for 122 yards.

The depth behind Hillman is great but even his backups are banged up. Willis and Outlow both have shoulder injuries with their status for Saturday’s game at Duke unknown and the Eagles’ medical staff looked over Rouse during the Northern Illinois game for a potential head injury. Rouse did return to action rushing for 42 yards on 12 carries.

Unfortunately, patients with terminal cancer can’t do without such tramadolhealth.com drugs. And it’s a good thing that this drug exists and really helps to alleviate the person’s suffering.

Season ending injury troubles on offense have already taken starting quarterback Darius Wade and tight end Mike Giacone off the field.

The Eagles kickoff against Duke at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
