Interview: Q&A with Alemany High School CB/WR Marcel Myers
Alemany High School in Mission Hills, California has picked up a multi-talented spring transfer in Marcel Myers. The former budding Redondo Union High School star is ready to play ironman football next year for the Warriors but before the 3.0 GPA student-athlete tears up Mission League competition we wanted to get to know him better. In an ongoing Recruiting News Guru series the 6’2”, 173 pound, cornerback/wide receiver sat down to answer some “getting to know you” questions.

What is your favorite movie?
“Boyz in the Hood.”
Who is your favorite actor?
“I will have to say is Denzel Washington.”
Which TV show is your favorite?
“SportsCenter (ESPN).”
Do you have a favorite book?
“I have to say Catcher in the Rye (JD Salinger) is my favorite book.”
What is your favorite type of music?
“Hip-Hop and R&B.”
Do you have a favorite musician?
“It’s between 2Pac, Biggie Small, and Ice Cube.”
Are we the same age? Do you have a favorite song?
“(Laughing) Dear Momma (2Pac).”
What music do you listen to get hyped before a game, practice, or weightlifting session?
“I listen to Lil Herb and Lil Bibby.”
Do you have any hobbies outside of football, speed training, and weightlifting?
“I go fishing, hunting, and dirt back riding.”
When you go fishing what are you aiming to catch?
“I try my best for catfish. Normally I come up with blue gill, bass, and perch.”
When you go hunting what’s your target?
“I usually go hunting for white tail and raccoons.
Do you have a favorite type of food?
“That’s a hard one… chilly cheese fries, All-American kind of food.”
Do you have a favorite game system?
“PlayStation 4, and I have a PS3.”
What are your favorite games on PlayStation?
“Madden, NCAA, and then Call of Duty, oh and Grand Theft Auto.”
What is your favorite subject in school?
“Math.”
Who is your favorite athlete?
“Tavon Austin (St. Louis Rams) is my favorite athlete.”
Favorite holiday?
“Christmas and then Thanksgiving.”
If you could be a superhero which superhero would you be?
“Oh man, Superman.”
Do you have a favorite professional sports team?
“The Pittsburg Steelers.”
