It is only fitting that one of the best high school football teams in the nation saw at least eight of their players inked National Letters of Intent on National Signing Day. Centennial High School was nearly unstoppable in 2015 streaking to a 14-1 record winning California’s southern section beating St. John Bosco 62-52 before a tough 28-21 loss to national champs De La Salle in the overall California state title game.

Of the eight players to sign letters of intent, running back J.J. Taylor (Arizona) was a beast rushing for 2,149 yards with 41 touchdowns pacing the team. Another senior, Anthony Catalano received the second string load of work rushing 117 times for 1,003 yards. But even on a team this talented and this loaded with players Class of 2017 running back Miles Reed could not be kept on the bench for long. Reed got 91 carries for 540 yards scoring nine touchdowns giving the Huskies faithful reason to believe another big year is coming ahead for another Corona area talent.

Reed, listed at 5’8”, 185 pounds, has the moves and work ethic to continue carrying the torch for Centennial. He is already drawing next level interest from UCLA, USC, Vanderbilt, UNLV, Harvard, and Yale. In a Recruiting News Guru exclusive interview, I caught up with Reed at UCLA’s spring game to get an overview on his offseason and a recruiting news update.
