Los Angeles Valley College (3-1) linebacker Jonathan Charles has everything going his way on and off the collegiate gridiron. The 6’2”, 240 pound, talent is rated the No. 7 junior college linebacker in the nation and has interest from top Division-I programs from across the country.

The Los Angeles native had to miss a game due to a flag tossed for targeting but has had a nice start to his season with eight tackles, two tackles for a loss, and two pass breakups. Colleges showing interest range from Alabama to Kansas State with teams like Utah, Washington State, Fresno State, Montana, University of Texas San Antonio, UAB, Houston, and Arizona State in between. Charles has one offer on the table from Sun Belt powerhouse Arkansas State.

In a Recruiting News Guru exclusive interview, I caught up with Jonathan before the Monarchs’ big game against the Antelope Valley Marauders to go over his season so far and get a recruiting update before an official visit to Washington State.
