Kansas State Lands In-State 2017 OT Josh Rivas

Kansas State stayed inside the Sunflower State on Tuesday landing Hutchinson offensive tackle Josh Rivas.

Rivas is a big recruit with a lot of upside. Easily classified as an under the radar prospect, Rivas started getting looks his way during his junior season after helping the Salt Hawks to a 6-5 mark in Kansas Class 6A. Teams to offer the 6’6”, 325 pound, lineman includes Virginia Tech, Missouri, Purdue, Memphis, and Kansas.

The Wildcats now have six verbal commitments to their 2017 class. Four of the six are Kansas products and five of the six are slated to play on the offensive side of the ball at the collegiate level.
