A good day on the recruiting trail for Alabama turned out to be a bad day for Kentucky and Louisville, and the likes, when five-star offensive tackle Jedrick Wills committed to the Tide.

Wills made his announcement via a released video. His top schools, in no order, were Alabama, Norte Dame, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Michigan. The joke within the video is seeing Wills at a clothing store trying on different suits that aligned with his top schools be it by color, pattern, or insignia. A bad suit did not get a favorable response from his friends and family waiting on him at the store. After several attempts, Wills finds the perfect white suit with an Alabama lined jacket getting an immediate positive reaction from his friends and family cheering. Wills breaks the fourth wall stating, “Roll Tide, baby.”

Other schools seeking the services of the 6-5, 318 pound, tackle included Florida, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan State, Virginia, and Florida State, among others. Wills is rated as a five-star by Rivals, No. 4 at his position in the country and tops in Kentucky, while 247Sports has Wills rated No. 10 at his position.

Wills is a key contributor on Lafayette High Schools’ 11-1 season this year. The Generals are ranked No. 7 in the state of Kentucky after beating Tates Creek 49-13 in the second round of the playoffs. The Generals take the field against No. 6 Simon Kenton on Friday.

247Sports ranks Alabama’s 2017 class tops in the nation as does Rivals.
