After suffering a rough 3-7 season in their first season in 1-5A, Natchitoches Central High School is ready to make some waves in 2020 with some bright young stars returning with a year of top-level experience under their belt. One of the budding talents ready to make a deep playoff push is sophomore defensive and offensive lineman Tre’Darius Brown.

The 6’4”, 280-pound, monster shows tremendous athleticism and strength to make plays on both sides of the ball in the trenches. Brown also possesses impressive footwork and explosiveness. This Class of 2023 recruit is already drawing interest from several college programs and will definitely be a player to watch for his last three seasons of high school ball.

Not only is Brown a beast on the gridiron but is also a force to be reckoned with in basketball, track and field, and powerlifting team.

In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I caught up with Tre’Darius to talk about his preparations for the upcoming season and get an update on his recruiting process.

I play with Tre’Darious on the line. He’s at left tackle and i’m at left guard. Me and him have grown super close over this off season. I believe he sees it like most of us guys do. We went 3-7 the past 10 seasons and that sucks. We made playoffs in 2015 and that’s when our new head coach left byrd for one season and came and was our offensive coordinator. I believe that we face and have faced many upsets and trials. But I don’t see that as bad. On a Fridays night if that loss that you may take is what you get when the 4th quarter is over. That should light a fire in you to punish the team and opponent you have next friday. We lost the 7 games from last year by 19 total points. I heard my old coach say that’s not bad. I told him that is horrible. It’s pathetic. I play at this school and on this team. I know my brothers could have one all of those games but we couldn’t finish the game we’d give up and get down on our selves when they started running away with the lead. But sir i’ll tell you one thing. This upcoming season is Natchitoches Centrals year. We’re not taking losses this year. With the many athletes we have on that team such as Tre’Darious and a lot of others were preparing to get our hearts and minds in the right spot. I think many people that only watch the game only see the physical part of football. It’s a mental war on that field. This year me and my brothers and coaches are ready for the war. Just watch us work this year and the years to come. #GOCHIEFS!!!
