Alexandria’s Peabody Magnet had a tremendous season in 2019 as the Warhorses finished 7-4 after only one win in 2018. One rising star who had a great impact on the program’s turnaround was sophomore running back Arthur Lavalais.

The 5’7”, 170-pound, speedster broke onto the scene in his sophomore season by racking up 1,125 yards and 25 touchdowns. This young play-maker uses his athleticism and impressive footwork to run through tackles then utilizes his breakaway speed to outrun any defenders.

The Class of 2021 prospect is just starting out on his recruiting journey but has already shined at several college camps. With two years left in high school, Lavalais has plenty of time to continue to put up impressive numbers in the Peabody backfield and it’s only a matter of time before college coaches begin to take notice.

In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I caught up with Arthur to discuss his sophomore season and his recruiting process.
