Louisiana Football: Interview with Wossman 2021 LB Andrew Miles

High school football recruits are scattered all over the state of Louisiana. Each one working hard to make the jump to the college ranks and live out their dream of football at the next level.

One of the rising stars in the Class of 2021 is linebacker Andrew Miles, who plays at Wossman High School in Monroe. This 5’8”, 175-pound, linebacker can make plays all over the field and has a knack for creating turnovers by using his tremendous speed and agility racking up 30 tackles, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, two sacks and one interception last season.

Miles currently has two college offers and is receiving interest from numerous in-state schools.

In an exclusive Recruiting News Guru interview, I sat down with Miles to discuss his recruiting process and career at Wossman.

Interview

Miles, how would you describe your individual performance in your junior season?

“I really thought I did well but I still have to work on some things.”

What are your strengths on the football field?

“My tackling, speed, and coverage.”

Did you receive any individual honors?

“First team All-District.”

What do you like most about playing linebacker?

“The contact and being physical with my opponents.”

What are you working on the most this off season?

“My speed and agility, and making sure my covering skills are better.”

Do you have any college offers?

“Arkansas Baptist and Rockford University.”

Have you attended any college camps?

“Yes, Texas and LSU. LSU was my favorite.”

Which team is your favorite football team?

“The Baltimore Ravens.”

Is there a current NFL player that you try to model your game after?

“Tyrann Mathieu.”

What is your GPA?

“2.9.”

What is your favorite subject in school?

“English and reading, because I love to read.”

Who has had the biggest impact on your football career?

“My grandma and sister.”

Do you have a favorite Bible verse?

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me – Philippians 4:13.”
