Woodlawn Knights at Benton Tigers

It’s homecoming night at Benton (6-1, 4-0) as the Tigers host the up-and-coming Woodlawn Knights (5-2, 3-1).  Benton wants to stay undefeated in district play and create some separation at the top of District 1-4A. Woodlawn wants to deliver the upset and create a tie atop the district standings.

The Knights are led by senior dual-threat quarterback Trevion Youngblood and sophomore running back Trivensky Mosley. These two weapons have the ability and athleticism to score on any play. Mosley is one of the best backs in the area with 1,061 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns through the first seven weeks of the season.

Benton is led by sophomore quarterback Garrett Hable who is having a great campaign. Hable has thrown for 1,662 yards and 18 touchdowns through the first seven games of the season. The Tiger’s two biggest receiving weapons are John Westmoreland and Clayton Festavan. Westmoreland has 423 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while Festavan has 436 yards and four touchdowns.

Haughton Buccaneers at Parkway Panthers

It is Senior Night at Parkway as the Panthers (6-1, 2-1) host the Haughton Buccaneers (5-2, 1-2). Both Haughton and Parkway are battling to keep up with the three teams ahead of them in the district standings; Airline, Evangel and Byrd.

This should be a very interesting game as it will feature two great offenses.

Parkway is led by senior quarterback Keondre Wudtee (Louisiana Tech commit) who has thrown for 1,649 yards and 15 touchdowns. The leading rusher for the Panthers is junior Robert McKnight who has ran for 545 yards and eleven touchdowns. The top target for Wudtee is sophomore Terrace Marshall who caught 24 balls for 589 yards and six touchdowns.

The Buccaneers are led by dual-threat quarterback Darius Brooks. The senior signal caller has thrown for 354 yards and eight touchdowns and ran for 204 yards and six touchdowns. Haughton’s leading rusher is D’Kovin Ware who has 437 rushing yards and five touchdowns this year. Another offensive weapon is Kei’Untre Normandin who has 357 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
